Walking up the driveway to Hamilton musician Dave Gould’s home, a number of items act as clues to the man inside. There’s an old pickup truck, a colourful animated sign for one of his past shows, and a “Don’t Vote Harper” sticker on his screen door.

“One of my most recent inventions is called the Antler Harp,” says Gould, gesturing to a half-rack of deer antlers. He has installed guitar strings across the antlers, turning them into an electric harp.
