Alcohol comes in many tastes, textures and amounts. Some people view alcohol as an art form that should be sipped, tasted and critiqued with little cubes of cheese. Ronald McDonald House Hamilton (RMHH) and Liaison College have joined forces to give families and students alike a unique and delicious opportunity. RMHH will soon house a fully stocked catering kitchen built and staffed by Liaison Culinary College. After months in limbo and hard work, the youth who have fought so hard to save their “second-home” have succeeded in preserving the downtown youth centre.
“The youth who had been trying to get it to re-open when the Globe Youth Centre had closed called themselves the ‘Globe Saviors’,” said Jordanna, a volunteer at the Youth Centre. “They were brainstorming, they would meet at Jackson square and they would meet with Don [Mahleka] and try to think of creative ways to get this place back together.”

The MSA’s president will not be elected for the second consecutive year.
After successfully completing the nomination package, Rick Kovacs was told by the MSA board he was no longer allowed to run.

Mohawk College graduate and teacher Connie Smith was awarded to the Order of Ontario for her achievements in journalism.
“It’s shocking, it’s wonderful, it’s surprising, and it’s an honour that’s very humbling,” she said.
Smith has been a fixture on local television for over thirty years, beginning as CHCH-TV’s first female weather personality following her graduation from Mohawk’s Broadcast Journalism program in 1976 and its first female anchor in 1988. One of Canada’s hottest coffee spots will be throwing its customers for a loop. Tim Horton’s will be changing the names of its sizes on Monday to introduce its new extra large, a 24 oz. cup. The original small will now be Tim Horton’s extra small size, a downsize that all cups will undergo.
