Students using food banks more

According to the latest Hunger Report, the number of post-secondary students using food banks is among one of the highest-growing populations using the service.
Almost four per cent of those using food banks in Ontario are either post-secondary students or recent graduates, which amounts to an increase from just one per cent from last year.
This is not a shocking statistic to Wendy Rolfe, the Student Services manager at the MSA, which operates the food bank at Mohawk.
