It was bulls, broncs, and barrels at the Ancaster Fairgrounds this weekend as the Ontario Finals Rodeo rode into town.
There was standing-room only as fans lined up along the ring, decked out in their cowboy hats and boots to watch their favourite events.
Bull riding was the most popular event, with people standing on the bleachers to get a good look at the brave riders who attempted to hold on for the eight seconds they had to last to qualify for a score.

When you walk into the Old Fire House Art Centre in Ancaster, three tables lined side-by-side are topped with pizza, pasta, salad, cookies, and small stacks of paper plates. Mohawk College’s Building Renovation students are working day and night to complete renovations to the second floor of the cozy Ancaster Theatre.
The renovations were sponsored in part by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, with a grant to the theatre for $74,700. Theatre Ancaster is getting more bang for its buck by getting Mohawk students to help complete the project.

Mohawk’s new printers are online and ready for students to use. The new printers can be found around the school at various locations including the I-wing and the library in H-wing. The new printers are set to print on both sides of the page to save paper, and students will be charged more if they wish to print single-sided copies.

Do you have a professor who consistently provides excellent lecture material? Or is there a professor who you feel doesn’t post enough on eLearn?
The Student Feedback on Teaching Survey has been circulating on MoCoMotion for a couple of weeks, giving students an outlet to voice their opinions on how their professors are performing. The confidential and customized survey is sent out by VP of Academics Cheryl Jensen every term, and this year, it’s more accessible for students on the go.

The foundation has been poured and walls are going up on Mohawk College’s new $35 million, state of the art Recreation Centre.
Construction on the Rec Centre began on June first of last year. The question is, will it be ready for students and staff by the beginning of the 2013 Fall semester?

“Whoever invented single-ply must have been the devil,” laughed Mohawk College business student, Justin Veerman.
Veerman currently holds one of the ten top spots for the MSA Gives Back campaign.  His idea to improve the college would affect your bathroom experience.
“My $100 000 idea is to broadcast the INDI radio station throughout all the campus washrooms,” smiled Veerman. “I feel like music should be in every single washroom and everywhere just to drown out noise and create an atmosphere.”
