Bulldogs face goaltending controversy

7 November 2013 No Comment

Ten games into the Bulldogs’ 2013-2014 season, it appears that there is a goaltender controversy brewing in Hamilton.
Despite a modest start to the season with an overall 5-2-0-3 record, head coach Sylvain Lefebvre’s decision-making has been questioned by fans, especially when it comes to which one of his goaltenders start.
This debate sparked over the summer, when the Montreal Canadiens‘ management rewarded both Robert Mayer and Dustin Tokarski with contract extensions.
The Canadiens signed Mayer first and also gave him a lengthier, two-year contract that will run through the 2014-2015 season. Meanwhile, Tokarski signed only a one-year deal.
