Maple syrup festival a sweet success

The sun was shining and the maple syrup was flowing this weekend at Bronte Creek Provincial Park for the 16th annual maple syrup festival.
Families young and old got to travel back to the 1890’s and learn how maple syrup was made during that time and is still made at the park today.
“We specialize in the Victorian time period…you get a chance to look back and see what life might’ve been like one hundred years ago,” said Sheila Wiebe, the parks Natural Heritage Education Specialist.
