Downtown Burlington transformed into a winter wonderland as the city opened its 18th annual Festival of Lights.
Street lamps, trees, storefronts and all of Civic Square were covered in twinkling Christmas decorations. Civic Square is also where hundreds of people gathered to begin the candlelit stroll. Each person was handed a candle, supplied by Smith’s Funeral Home located just a block down the street.
