There is a fine line between confidence and cocky and Mohawk was forced to walk it entering the 2012 Canadian Colleges’ Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s Basketball National Championships.
Riding high off their win of the Ontario Colleges’ Athletic Association (OCAA) gold medal (March 3), the Mountaineers descended into Halifax en route to the host school, Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Do you have a professor who consistently provides excellent lecture material? Or is there a professor who you feel doesn’t post enough on eLearn?
The Student Feedback on Teaching Survey has been circulating on MoCoMotion for a couple of weeks, giving students an outlet to voice their opinions on how their professors are performing. The foundation has been poured and walls are going up on Mohawk College’s new $35 million, state of the art Recreation Centre.
Construction on the Rec Centre began on June first of last year. The question is, will it be ready for students and staff by the beginning of the 2013 Fall semester?

“Whoever invented single-ply must have been the devil,” laughed Mohawk College business student, Justin Veerman.
Veerman currently holds one of the ten top spots for the MSA Gives Back campaign.  His idea to improve the college would affect your bathroom experience.
“My $100 000 idea is to broadcast the INDI radio station throughout all the campus washrooms,” smiled Veerman. “I feel like music should be in every single washroom and everywhere just to drown out noise and create an atmosphere.”
Veerman also hopes to upgrade the toilet paper on campus to two-play, claiming …

There is silence as the young man stands on stage, arms wrapped around himself, head tilted to one side, twitching slightly. His eyes open and he begins to speak, softly at first.
“I think I am going crazy.”
The young man changes the cadence and tone of his voice as the words flow. Words about loss and grief, and what it means to be a man.
